How Katalyst collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.
This policy explains how Katalyst Media and Communications ("Katalyst", "we", "us") handles personal data collected through katalyst.co.in. We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000, along with the rules made under them.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us, plus basic usage data from our website.
- Client enquiries: your name, work email, phone or WhatsApp number, brand or company name, website or Instagram link, the service you're interested in, your monthly ad budget range and any message you send.
- Job applications: your name, email, phone number, the role you're applying for, years of experience, LinkedIn profile and CV, if you upload one.
- Emails: anything you send to info@katalyst.co.in.
- Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies and analytics tools (see "Cookies and analytics" below).
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a proposal or quotation and arrange a strategy call.
- To review job applications and contact shortlisted candidates.
- To send case studies or other information you've asked for.
- To understand how visitors use our website and improve it.
- To measure and improve our own advertising.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not add you to marketing lists without your consent.
Consent
By submitting a form or emailing us, you consent to us using your information for the purposes above. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to info@katalyst.co.in. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did with your data before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that help us run our business, and only as much as they need:
- Netlify: hosts our website and processes form submissions.
- Google Workspace: our email provider.
- Analytics and advertising platforms, such as Google Analytics and Meta, which receive website usage data through cookies.
Some of these providers store data on servers outside India. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies from Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the Meta Pixel. They help us understand site traffic and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
How long we keep it
- Client enquiries: for up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you become a client.
- Job applications: for up to 12 months, so we can consider you for future roles.
- After that, we delete or anonymise the data.
How we protect it
We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers. No online system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a breach occurs.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate information.
- Delete your data.
- Withdraw your consent.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf.
